Camper Checklist and Schedule

â–¼   Checklist: What to bring
  1. Make sure to fill out the and for each child. We only need one copy per child for all camps that s/he attends June 1-May 31. 
  2. All campers should come dressed in his/her swimsuit with sunscreen applied. Bring a change of clothing in a small drawstring backpack. No large bags/backpacks are allowed. Bring shorts, shirt, underwear, socks, and athletic shoes. Children may not wear flip-flops or slides anywhere in the Student Recreation Center beyond the pool. Socks are required for the rock wall. 
  3. Towel
  4. Lunch, two snacks, and an inexpensive reusable water bottle. Food from delivery services is not accepted and will be discarded. 
  5. Hat and sunglasses (if desired).
  6. Non-aerosol sunscreen and insect repellent.
  7. Please label EVERYTHING.
  8. No electronics or toys: leave phones, tablets, smart watches, activity trackers, games, and any other form of electronics at home.

Time Activity
7:45-8:45am Sign-in (lobby) and swimming. Children who do not wish to swim may arrive at 8:30-8:45am. 
8:45-9:30am Clothes change/snack/free play
9:30-11:15am

Activity rotations: Theme activities and board games/crafts

Children will switch activities every 30-40 minutes. 

11:15-12:00pm Lunch
12:00-12:50pm Rest & relax/movie time
12:50-2:30pm

Activity rotations: Rock wall, racquet sports, and free play

Children will switch activities every 30-40 minutes. 

2:30-2:40pm Walk to classroom/lobby
2:40-3:00pm Snack and Sign-Out (Lobby)
3:00-4:30pm

After-camp care (Classroom)

Nature Adventures

Hiking, compass use, and learning about nature in our area.  

Holidays and Celebrations

Celebrate Mardi Gras, Halloween, Christmas, July 4th, and more with games and crafts.

Water Week

Extra swim time, canoe/kayak clinic, and water balloon games

Party at ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ

Tie dye, face painting, crafts, and red/white/blue days. We will celebrate both the University of South Alabama and the United States of America. 

Olympic Week

Get ready for the summer Olympics with our team competitions. 

Best of Summer

The most popular theme activities from each of the previous weeks will be chosen. Children will swim and use the climbing wall every day.
