Winterguard
About the Jaguar Winterguard
The University of South Alabama Winterguard was created to foster positive experiences for all who participate, by promoting education, creativity, and freedom of expression through pageantry and the performing arts. The ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ Winterguard is open to all students at ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ who are members of the Jaguar Marching Band. The members of the ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ Winterguard perform as a visual unit that strives for excellence, education, and entertainment for our audience and members of the team.
Members must be full-time students at ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ to participate in the Winterguard and be a member of the Jaguar Marching Band. The ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ Winterguard technique course rehearses Mondays from 4:00-5:00pm. The competitive ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ Winterguard rehearses Monday and Thursdays from 5:00-8:00PM during the spring semester. All members of the ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ Winterguard must enroll in the appropriate section for the University Winter Guard Course (MUO 131).
